Darling Dasher (Inkspirations 96)

At this time of year, I’m always looking for quick and effective holiday cards to use for various classes – something that is both fun for new and experienced stampers alike.

This week’s colour challenge at Inkspirations was a great starting point for this fun holiday card.

The base is Crumb Cake and it is layered with Real Red and then a Very Vanilla layer which was embossed using the Big Shot and Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.

Next, I added a Real Red layer which has a Bashful Blue Satin ribbon knot adhered on a folded over Decorative Label. For a little added interest, I stamped an image from Four Frames in Early Espresso, punched it out and then folded it. A little Vintage Trinket pin is pinned on the know for a little extra pop.

Dasher was stamped in Versamark and then embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. To finish it off, I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso.

This is a fun card – both to make and to have other make at classes!

Check out what the rest of the AWESOME Inkspirations design team has come up with this week:

  8. Once again, it’s the details on your cards that make them fabulous. You have such a creative brain. If the zombie apocalypse ever happens, I’ll be eating yours first.
