The Best of Wishes – Inkspirations #76

Today is the start of another wonderful Inkspirations challenge! This week it is a colour combination that has us challenged and I vowed to use it to make another wedding card. Maybe not a traditional wedding combination but in the end it worked out just fine! Here are the challenge colours:

For the base of my card, I used the Peach Parfait and I made a vertical panel of Peach Parfait which I textured and then layered some Poppy Parade Dotted Scallop ribbon punched cardstock to the top and bottom.

I added a large scallop circle cut in Baja Breeze using the Scallop Circle #2 die and punched holes in each scallop. I then layered on a 2 1/2″ circle of watercolour paper on which I stamped the sentiment from Sincere Salutations and an image from Faith in Nature (a NEW hostess set).

I watercoloured the flower with the challenge colours and then stamped another flower and a leaf on some scrap, cut them out and adhered them with dimensionals. A little tip – when you cut out images, sometimes there are white outlines you may not want. I sponge the edges with Basic Black ink to give a full black line around the image.

For a little extra flair, I added some pearls under the sentiment and also a piece of NEW designer paper, Just Add Cake.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you get a chance to play at Inkspirations this week. If you need a little extra inspiration, please check out what the rest of the design team did for this challenge!
