Just a Little Note – Inkspirations Challenge #62

This week on the Inkspirations Challenge blog, there is a great colour challenge. Individually, I love all of these colours but had quite the time putting them together. So I decided on which colour I wanted to be the “bulk” of the card and then decided on the other colours as just “pops”. Here are the colours for the challenge:

The base of my card is Early Espresso and I’ve layered the top 2/3rds with a piece of Early Espresso designer paper (the sheet with the words). Along the seam I’ve added a little strip of Whisper White cardstock on which I stamped the sentiment from the Level 2 Hostess set, Apple Blossoms.

I then made 3 squares from the remainder colours and stamped them with the large circle pattern again from Apple Blossoms and added a little embellishment to each.

This is a great design that can be used over and over!

Let’s see what you can do with this combination – head on over to the Inkspirations Challenge Blog and show us your stuff!

  1. The balance of colour is perfect Carrie. Love those little squares with their individual embellies – way too cute! 🙂

  2. Great job! Love the squares and the ribbons!

  3. Love the little detail on each square, especially the pleated ribbon with the brad. Great card as always.

  4. This is just the cutest card Carrie!! Love that it moves outside the actual card area!

  5. Cute and oh so simple card. Sometimes it is nice to get out of our comfort zone and use colors together we normally don’t do together. I caught a mistake though. You got the yellow color right in the inspiration cars but listed it as Marigold Morning in the color choices in the instructions. Our minds do strange things early in the morning. Love the color combo though. This would be a quick card for a stamp camp. Thanks for sharing.

  6. This is the TOTALLY COOLEST CARD! THe little details you have on each square, the way you’ve put them all wonky but yet perfectly 🙂 the DSP, and then the greeting! WOW!!!! AMAZING! BRILLIANT! LOVE IT!
    SMiles SHarnee 🙂

  7. And each square has its own personality……too cute!

  8. Love this Carrie!

  9. Your little colored/stamped squares really look like “just a note” notes. Cute card!

  10. Carrie, this is absolutely gorgeous! Love those little squares with their own embellishments, and the fact that they look like tiny notes. You’re just too clever!!

  11. Your decoration is very nice. I appreciate your thought, idea and design.

Thanks for taking the time to comment, I very much appreciate it!
