Progressive Card Making?

The other day I demonstrated a class for a great group of ladies (you may remember the candle from this post). It was such fun and a delight to see them all relish in their own personal creativity.

In an effort to show them how they can use the products we’d used on the project in more ways, I decided to make a package of cards up for the hostess that started at simple stamping and ended with a card utilizing multiple products.

The products used were:

  • Medallion Stamp Set
  • Old Olive Classic Ink
  • Chocolate Chip Classic Ink
  • Chocolate Chip Craft Ink
  • Clear Embossing Powder
  • Heat Tool
  • Note Cards & Envelopes
  • Old Olive Cardstock
  • Whisper White Cardstock
  • Chocolate Chip Taffeta Ribbon
  • Whimsical Words (Sale-A-Bration)
  • Scallop Trim Punch (Sale-A-Bration)

The first card was a basic card that used the Medallion stamped in Old Olive and a saying from Whimsical Words in Chocolate Chip (bottom right).

I then stepped it up a bit by doing the same stamping but adding a strip of Old Olive cardstock and tied on some Chocolate Chip taffeta (top right).

Then, I stamped the Medallion in Chocolate Chip Craft ink and embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder using my Heat tool (top left).

And, to finish it all off, I again embossed the Medallion in Chocolate Chip and added a centre of Old Olive. I used the Scallop Trim punch on a piece of Old Olive cardstock and tied on some Chocolate Chip taffeta.

These cards were so much fun to make and it was a fun personal challenge to make a set of “progressive” cards!

I also put together a little sheet showing the pricing and how to get the great Sale-A-Bration FREE GOODIES (in Canadian prices)!

I saw your post for the Medallion Candle also & was wondering if you ever posted your “recipe” on how you created the candle & box to keep it in. I would love to make this as a gift set!
