I’m off for a family camping trip for the next 5 days but thought I’d leave you all with a quick and fun project idea while I’m away!

At Convention this year we learned how to make cute and simple trees using our scallop circle punch. Here’s how:

  1. Punch out a scallop circle or cut out a scallop with your Sizzix Big Shot.
  2. For the scallop circle punch I’ve made a template (below) for a tree with 4 “loops” on the bottom as well as one with 3. For the large scallop circle I’ve got 7 “loops” on the bottom.
  3. All you need to do is find the mid-point and score (using a ruler and bone folder) out around the correct number of “loops”.
  4. Fold them behind (you’ll need to trim down the scallops a bit and you get projects that look like this:
