In keeping with the theme of acetate/window sheets this week (check out Caardvarks for a great challenge!), I’ve decided to share a thank you card that is going to a great friend. She is a Mary Kay Consultant and totally responsible for me looking so good (most of the time).
I started with a Regal Rose card base and layered it with Basic Black (as per the Mary Kay colours).
The swirl from Baroque Motifs was stamped in Whisper White craft ink and embossed with Irridescent Ice embossing powder to give it a little sparkle. I didn’t want this to be the focal point, just an extra detail.
The “t” panel is Whisper White layered with Regal Rose. I then adhered the “t” from the sticky cuts pages to the acetate sheet and added chunky black glitter. Next, I stamped “hanks” from the thanks stamp from Thank You Kindly in Jet Black StazOn.
I always find it hard to adhere acetate so I decided to use silver brads in each corner. Lastly, I added two ties of gingham ribbon to the upper right of the panel.
The elements of this card are really quite simple but super spectacular in real life!
Did you know that Stampin’ Up! has window sheets? Oh yes, Mary, they do! Just go to my SU site and search the store for “window”! But here is a little show of what they look like!
