I was talking to a lady I’d met late last year about booking an upcoming workshop and she mentioned that she had a little boy two weeks ago. Well, that certainly deserves a card!
When I saw the Sketch Challenge on SCS this week, I thought it would make a perfect baby card.
I started with a Bashful Blue card base and layered it with some designer paper and a layer of Chocolate Chip.
Although the sketch calls for the panel along the top, I decided I liked it along the bottom better. I ran two strips of double stitched wide Bashful Blue ribbon and over that I added a layer of Chocolate Chip designer paper. I made this piece hang over the edges of the card and I used my scallop edge punch on one side.
I stamped the buggy from Puns from the Past in Chocolate Chip ink on white cardstock and punched it out with my small tag punch. I then layered these on the following colours: Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Sage Shadow.
Lastly, I stamped the saying from that same stamp and punched it out with my small oval punch. I layered it on a large Chocolate Chip oval and then added some scallops around it.
Thanks for stopping by today!
