Sale-A-Bration Fun!

Well, I’ve got my Sale-A-Bration set pre-order here and have been having a blast playing! So much so that I haven’t posted in a bit…well here goes….

We went to Ikea yesterday (yeah!) and they had these cute mugs for cheap. I have always wanted to make a flower arrangement that I couldn’t kill.

First, I took one of the new SAB (Sale-A-Bration) rub ons and rubbed it on to the mug. The rub ons do come with a popsicle stick but I totally recommend using your bone folder instead.

For the flowers, I used the So Many Scallops stamp set and stamped the large flower in various colours. In this example, I used Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery and Purely Pomegranate. I punched them out with the scallop circle punch (its like they are made for each other…smile smile….wink wink…).

I stamped the “celebrate today” stamp from Sweet Celebrations (we got this for FREE at Leadership) and put it in the centre of the flower and then adhered various buttons tied with linen thread.

I grabbed some bamboo skewers from the kitchen and adhered them with dimensionals between the flower and anotehr punched out scallop to put on the back. I tied them with coordinating ribbon and then put them into some foam in the cup.

This is such a cute project, quick and simple and a great hostess gift (especially if the flowers have lollypop centres).

  1. This also would be a great project for kids to do for Mother’s Day… perhaps a teacher could do it with his/her class… hmmm… I wonder where I could get a class of kids… 🙂

  2. I LOVE this idea and think I just may have to CASE it!

    Many Blessings,

  3. I love your new blog look!
