New Rubbah and a Really Fun Project!

So, for those of you who are demonstrators, I hope you are enjoying the new set we had mailed to us! It is a level 3 hostess set in the upcoming catalogue and I LOVE IT! I’m planning for my last stamp club meeting of the year and had to use this set.

Okay, nice, but what is it? A Gift Card Holder. I believe this was demonstrated at Portland Regionals but my dear friend, Heather showed me how to do it!

You want to start with a 12″ x 4″ piece of cardstock. Score at 4″ and 8″. You want to score on the diagonal in the centre circle.

This is the part that is hard to explain…fold on the diagonal score line and fold it to the back and adhere with sticky strip. Check out the next picture and you’ll see what I mean….

Once you fold it back, you’ll end up with something that looks like this. It measures 4×4. You are looking at the inside of your project in the above picture.

To decorate the outside, I used the Whirly wheel in So Saffron and stamped the salutation in Chocolate Chip ink. I stamped the butterfly over the wheel and again on another piece of cardstock. I coloured the wings, used some dazzling diamonds on them and then adhered with mini glue dots to give them dimension. I finished with some Groovy Guava stitched ribbon.

On the inside, I added some Petals and Paisley DS paper in Saffron. Give this project a try! Its quick and easy!
