It is pretty darn cold here and although the sun is shining, there is still frost on the roofs all around us. Winter is on the way! I’ve got two swaps to do (a stamp club and local demo meeting one) so I figured since there is no overlap between the groups that I’d do just one! And, I ran for my Sleigh Bells Ring set, which I LOVE and HOPE and WISH not to retire next month when Stampin’ Up! reveals it’s retirement list….
When it comes to holiday cards, I like the non-traditional so I picked a soft colour palette for this one that is not typically used for Christmas. the card base is Creamy Caramel and then layered with some Blush Blossom. I then took a layer of Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla and used my ticket corner punch on both layers.
For the main image I inked it up in Creamy Caramel. I stamped it all by itself to begin with and just felt it needed something more. I took a Close To Cocoa marker and coloured the sleigh in the foreground. I stamped it and “voila”! I loved it! Of course, no snow scene is complete without some snow and I added some gingerly around the image. I used my 2-way glue pen and dazzling diamonds for the snow.
For the last two steps, I tied on some Chocolate taffeta ribbon with just a single plain knot at the centre. Seasons Greetings from Many Merry Messages was stamped in Chocolate Chip craft ink to finish it off.
Now, I hope you love this card but not too much! If this set is not retiring (wish, hope, wish) I’ll be making something similar to this for one of my Leadership swaps…..
Did I mention this set is a must have? and that I LOVE it?
