A Late Challenge

Don’t get me wrong. I did the challenge I’m just late in posting it!

This week’s Ways To Use it Challenge on SCS was to use wood. Wood? You’ve got to be kidding, I just happen to have some wooden letters!

This was a quick project I made for my dad. He LOVES jelly beans. I started with an orange juice bottle. I washed it out REALLY well and made sure it was dry. I covered the label with some Cutie Pie Designer paper using sticky strip. I tied some Artichoke grosgrain around the top and bottom of the strip of designer paper.

I also added some cardstock to the little cap in Old Olive, Bashful Blue and Rose Red.

For the letter “j”, I punched out some dots in the above colours and adhered them in a varying pattern. I put the “j” onto the jar using Crystal effects.

Quick and easy!

  2. Cool! I didn’t have any wood so I didn’t get to participate in that challenge, but let me tell you I have been itching to make a trip to the craft store after seeing some of these projects!

Thanks for taking the time to comment, I very much appreciate it!
