Well, my Convention vacation is over and now, back to being challenged daily on SCS. This week’s colour challenge was a great one – Close to Cocoa, Certainly Celery and Bashful Blue. I was inspired by convention to try simple layouts and designs so I sat down at the stamping table and this is what developed.
The card base is Close to Cocoa and I used a large scallop circle I received from some blog candy I won (from Ali Miles – thanks!). I stamped it in celery with the confetti-like stamp from Eat Cake. I then stamped the solid funny square in cocoa ink on cocoa cardstock and cut it out. I punched a scallop circle in Bashful Blue and snipped it off and covered it in diamonds with my 2-way glue pen. I stuck both on the large scallop with dimensionals.
I added a small blue strip of cardstock over a larger celery piece. I paper pierced under the blue layer and stamped “happy birthday” in cocoa ink. Lastly, I stapled an “X” on the left side and, well, thats it!
Now, onto the Captain’s challenge!
